Sustainably Minded!

We know that film photography is unfortunately not the most sustainable practice. Which is why we’re constantly thinking of ways that we can lessen our environmental impact, whilst still enjoying the craft we love!

We Give AF!

Sustainability is super important to us here at LensFayre. You might not even have considered this, but by buying one of our restored cameras, you have potentially rescued it from landfill and given it a loving new home to capture beautiful memories for years to come!

As restorers of retro film cameras sustainability is at the heart of what we do - and that includes our packaging too! ALL of the packing materials we use are environmentally friendly and 100% recyclable, right down to our sticky tape!

We securely package all cameras using:

  • 100% Recycled and recyclable cardboard boxes

  • 100% Recyclable and biodegradable packing tape - even the clear stuff (also solvent-free)

  • 100% Biodegradable and recyclable bubble wrap

  • 100% Biodegradable loose fill (for extra cushioning)

  • We encourage you to reuse our packaging wherever possible and then please dispose of it correctly when you're done 😇

Reforestation & Carbon Offsetting

We’re super excited to have joined the reforestation program run by Tree-Nation!

Tree-Nation is a non-profit organisation currently running 100 reforestation and conservation projects all over the globe.

Why this matters:

Deforestation is responsible for about 17% of climate change emissions - which is why planting trees has been proven to be one the most efficient solutions to combat this.

What we’re doing:

We have pledged to plant 1 tree for every camera sold on our website.

Just like the seeds we plant, we know that big things often have small beginnings - and so, even as a small company, we accept our responsibility to work towards offsetting our emissions and fighting climate change. As we grow, the amount of trees we plant will too! 🌱
