The X-700 is a true 80s baby. Released in 1981, it was Minolta’s direct competition to the wildly popular Canon AE-1 Program, with both targeting the premium SLR enthusiast.
It’s a camera that was designed for professional use but with an accessibility that makes it perfect for beginners. It produces fantastic images and has rightly seen a resurgence recently as a worthy alternative to the increasingly popular to the AE-1 Program.
